Somos la Asociación RGSA – Rescue Group for Spanish Animals, un equipo internacional con base en Sevilla dedicado al rescate, rehabilitación y adopción de perros y otros animales víctimas de abandono y maltrato. Nuestro refugio, rodeado de olivos, vegetación y naturaleza, es un lugar donde los animales encuentran seguridad, cuidados y cariño mientras esperan a su familia definitiva.

El proyecto nació de la unión de tres mujeres con una misma pasión: salvar vidas.

• María aportó su ilusión y la propiedad: una finca de 6.000 m²  con dos  casas habitables e instalaciones para acoger a los animales. Dejó toda su vida anterior para dedicarse íntegramente a rescatar animales comprando la finca que actualmente es el refugio de la asociación donde cuidó perros sin hogar durante varios años. 

• Gloria Salinas Picón, con más de diez años de experiencia en rescate y gestión de asociaciones, puso el respaldo económico y el conocimiento para dar forma y estructura a la asociación , organizando también los viajes al extranjero, y asegurando la coordinación entre el refugio y el equipo de  administradoras que nos ayudan a publicar y buscar hogar a todos los perros en adopción y continuar obteniendo ingresos mediante donaciones realizando campañas y mercadillos benéficos.  

• Marta, ATV (Auxiliar Técnica Veterinaria especializada en fisioterapia y rehabilitación equina; peluquera canina y felina profesional), es el corazón y motor del refugio. Ella se encarga  de todas las actividades de cuidados y gestión en el refugio : curas y medicaciones, transporte de animales, visitas veterinarias, limpieza, mantenimiento de las instalaciones, educación de los animales, gestión de la finca, cuidado de los jardines, organización de espacios y bienestar diario de cada perro, ave o caballo que vive con nosotros, gestión de voluntarios... Si algo se necesita en el refugio, Marta lo hace posible.

María tras batallar contra una depresión muy grave finalmente se quitó la vida en mayo, lo que nos dejó  en una situación muy vulnerable. Además del dolor de su pérdida, debemos afrontar el enorme reto de mantener su hogar y el de tantos animales, haciendo frente a los altos impuestos de herencia para que el refugio no desaparezca.

Cada animal que rescatamos recibe atención veterinaria, rehabilitación física y emocional, y, sobre todo, amor incondicional. También colaboramos con otras protectoras que no cuentan con espacio, acogiendo a sus animales para darles una segunda oportunidad.

Nuestras puertas están abiertas a voluntarios que quieran vivir la experiencia de ayudar en el refugio, pasear perros, colaborar en su cuidado y compartir momentos únicos rodeados de naturaleza.

Presentation

We are RGSA – Rescue Group for Spanish Animals, an international team based in Seville dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and other animals who are victims of abandonment and abuse.

Our shelter, surrounded by olive trees and nature, is a safe haven where animals find care, protection, and love while they wait for their forever families.

This project was born from the union of three women who shared the same passion: saving lives.

• María brought her dream and her property: a 6,000 m² estate with two habitable houses and facilities to host animals. She left behind her previous life to dedicate herself fully to rescuing animals, buying the land that is now the shelter of our association, where she cared for homeless dogs for several years.

• Gloria Salinas Picón, with more than ten years of experience in rescue work and NGO management, contributed the financial support and knowledge needed to give the project structure. She also organized trips abroad, coordinated with our administration team, managed adoption publications, and worked tirelessly to raise funds through donations, campaigns, and charity markets.

• Marta, a certified veterinary assistant (specialized in equine physiotherapy and rehabilitation, and a professional dog and cat groomer), is the heart and driving force of the shelter. She takes care of all the daily tasks: medical treatments, animal transport, veterinary visits, cleaning, facility maintenance, animal training, property management, gardening, organizing spaces, and ensuring the well-being of every dog, bird, or horse that lives with us. She also coordinates volunteers. If something needs to be done at the shelter, Marta makes it happen.

In May, after a long battle with severe depression, María took her own life. Her loss left us heartbroken and extremely vulnerable. Beyond the grief, we now face the enormous challenge of keeping her home—and the home of so many animals—alive, while having to pay a very high inheritance tax to prevent the shelter from disappearing.

Every animal we rescue receives veterinary care, physical and emotional rehabilitation, and above all, unconditional love. We also collaborate with other shelters that lack space, welcoming their animals to give them a second chance.

Our doors are open to volunteers who wish to experience life at the shelter—walking the dogs, helping with their care, and sharing unique moments surrounded by nature.
